Plywood

We supply different range of Plywood in a variety of thickness and sizes.

Plywood is a sheet material manufactured from thin layers or “plies” of wood veneer that are glued together with adjacent layers having their wood grain rotated up to 90 degrees to one another. It is an engineered wood.

Sizes: The most commonly used thickness range is from 1⁄8 to 3.0 inches (3.2 to 76.2 mm). The sizes of the most commonly used plywood sheets are 4 by 8 feet (1,200 by 2,400 mm).

  1. Though Blockboard thickness has been included in the above table, blockboard is very different from plywood. It is listed above because in some cases, using blockboard is preferred over plywood.
  2. The thickness range for Marine grade and FR grade (Fire Retardant) plywoods are same as those mentioned in the above table for BWR grade.
  3. The Shuttering plywood mentioned above is used for building construction purposes. If your plywood requirement if for making furniture out of it, then MR and BWR grades are suitable.

  1. Commercial MR grade for Interior use.
  2. Waterproof BWR grade for exterior use.
  3. Marine Plywood.

Types of wood used

  1. Hardwood – Heavier and stronger
  2. Softwood – Lighter and weaker.

Other types:

  1. Flexible plywood that can be bent.
  2. Film faced shuttering plywood for industrial use.
  3. Structural plywood for industrial use.
  4. Fire retardant plywood.
